Advanced Surfing

Some of you coming to Surf School Lanzarote may have ridden waves before or have been Surfing a long time and simply wish to work on more advanced techniques. Don't forget part of the British squad has trained here with Surf School Lanzarote. Whatever your needs we can cover them.

If you are an intermediate Surfer, with a couple of years of Surfing behind you, we can deal with those problems which will always come up to the progressing Surfer. You may find that we expand further your knowledge of safety in the Surf. You may be only riding white waves and need the paddling techniques to move out further to unbroken waves. You may find that you are already picking up unbroken waves but need help on turning and maneuvers. We focus very much on body mechanics and the way a Surfboard really works in waves. Please bring your own Surfboards if you wish but don't forget pack them with loving care. Fiberglass boards used at the school are BIC Surfboards in a range of sizes starting at 7´3 going to 7´11, 9, and 10 footers. It's really that Surf School Lanzarote is trying to give the whole picture of Surfing and technique no matter what your ability level is. With the constant ingredient that you are having fun as well.

Surf School Lanzarote quotes here one of the top Surfing magazines that "75% percent of Surfers are riding the wrong type of Surfboard for their ability". After being with Surf School Lanzarote you wont be one of those 75%.

Gomma

Surf School Lanzarote has an ultimate respect for local Surfers on this very small island. Yes it has been called the Hawaii of Europe, which is great for you, there are always waves but what we do not do is take you to Surf any of the other Surf breaks on the island. They are mostly of a danger level way beyond the average Surfer. A 2m wave will break over half a meter of sharp volcanic rock and there are enough "Hot" Canarian Surfers in the water already. One of them you see to the left, Gomma "The Enforcer". We have 7km of beach at Famara to learn on. Let's leave the already crowded and dangerous Surf spots to others. At this site we include no guide to other Surf spots on the island.
