Our Qualifications and Training

Through many years of experience we really know that qualifications and constant training is so very important, to us and to you. Our qualified staff train and re train, not only to ensure the quality and development of our coaching but also to ensure your safety as well.

We are an International Surfing Association Registered school; one of the few such surf schools and camps in the Atlantic and the only one in the Canaries. The I.S.A. is the World governing body for Surfing and we also provide I.S.A. Instructor training courses.

We are also a British Surfing Association Level 4 Approved School and a Centre of Excellence for the B.S.A and again the only one outside of the UK. This is the highest professional award the B.S.A. can give and we also provide B.S.A. Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor training courses.

Very importantly we are also qualified Beach Life Guards. All instructors hold the Surf Life Saving Association, Royal Life Saving Society or NAR’s Awards. These awards are renewed every 2 or 3 years.

Now that we are back in the US and reflecting on a wonderful and, for us, unique vacation, I wanted to write and thank you for the outstanding experience we had surfing with you. I was very impressed with the professionalism and attention shown to my two daughters (ages 12 and 16). Even though they were the youngest by far they had a great time and were surfing by the end of the instruction.

I just wanted to send you a quick message to say thank you for all your time and energy during my time spent with you this week; I have had an awesome time, made even better by great coaching from three people who are clearly so passionate and devoted to their sport, day in and day out. 
 
I also feel that I will be able to transfer some of what you have shown me into my Kayaking in one form or another.  I would definetly like to come back to see you again for more coaching soon; I just have to figure out how to fit surfing (of the standing variety!) into what I already do, as I it's captured my imagination a little!  ...and I really want to learn to cut back now!
